Colon hydrotherapy, also known as colonic irrigation, is a gentle and effective procedure for cleansing the lower intestinal tract. Our colon therapist, Zosia Religa, is a Registered Nurse and has been administering colon therapy treatments for nearly 20 years. Here's how she describes the Renaissance approach:

"We use a gravity-fed closed system that flows purified water at exactly the right pressure for a comfortable and thorough cleaning. I am meticulous about maintaining my equipment at the highest possible standards and I put my nursing training (and professional-quality sterilization equipment) to good use.

Treatment times vary from 45 minutes to 1 ½ hours with most sessions requiring about an hour.  Set aside two hours for your initial visit which includes your consultation.

Treatments are always given in a clean, warm and private room with access to a private bathroom.  Although you will undress from the waist down, you are draped at all times and lying comfortably beneath a sheet and blanket on a padded treatment table. 

A specialized massage is an integral part of therapy.  Because every person is different, I have learned to adjust my techniques to suit the needs of the individual.
